January 2024-May 2024 • Social Chair

As Social Chair, I was responsible for creating and executing experiences that strengthened sisterhood and increased engagement within the chapter. I planned and organized events from start to finish, managing logistics, coordinating details, and ensuring each experience aligned with our values and goals.

This role pushed me to grow in creativity, time management, and adaptability. I learned how to generate ideas that resonated with a diverse group of members and how to execute them efficiently. I also developed the ability to anticipate challenges, problem-solve quickly, and lead with both structure and flexibility.

Through this position, I strengthened my ability to foster connection at scale—creating environments where individuals felt included, valued, and excited to participate.

June 2024 • National Convention

In July 2024, I attended a national convention in Georgia where I had the opportunity to connect with chapters from across the country. This experience broadened my perspective on leadership and exposed me to new ideas, strategies, and best practices. Engaging with leaders nationwide allowed me to bring back insights that strengthened my chapter’s operations, culture, and long-term vision. It also reinforced the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning as a leader.

May 2024-December 2024 • Presidency 1st Term

In May 2024, I was elected President during a pivotal time for the chapter. Stepping into this role required vision, resilience, and a commitment to rebuilding and strengthening the organization from within.

I led weekly executive meetings, delegated responsibilities, and implemented systems that improved accountability and overall chapter efficiency. I served as the primary point of communication between members, university leadership, and our national organization, ensuring alignment and consistency across all areas.

One of my most significant accomplishments during this time was leading efforts that resulted in doubling the chapter’s membership. I achieved this by rethinking recruitment strategies, prioritizing authentic relationship-building, and clearly communicating the mission and value of the organization. I learned how to manage different personalities, navigate challenges, and motivate a team toward a shared vision while maintaining a strong, values-driven culture.

February 2025 • Regional Leadership Training

In February 2025, I attended a regional leadership training in Texas alongside other Sigma Alpha Omega chapters.Through this training, I deepened my understanding of effective leadership practices and gained tools to better support and develop others. It reinforced my ability to lead with intention, communicate effectively, and continuously pursue growth.

January 2025-May 2025 • Presidency 2nd Term

During my second term as President, I focused on building on the momentum we had created. One of my key accomplishments was leading the first spring recruitment in over four years. This initiative required strategic planning, leadership, lots of communication, and a great team.

This effort contributed to continued chapter growth and strengthened our long-term sustainability. I worked intentionally to ensure that growth was not only numerical but also cultural, fostering a sense of belonging, accountability, and purpose within the chapter.

August 2025-December 2025 • Active Member

During this time, I contributed to fundraising initiatives. This role allowed me to lead without a title, supporting current leadership, offering guidance when needed, and continuing to invest in the chapter’s success. It reinforced my belief that impactful leadership is rooted in service, humility, and consistency, never a title.

January 2026-May 2026 • Philanthropy Chair

In my final semester, I served as Philanthropy Chair, focusing on service and community impact. In this role, I was responsible for organizing initiatives that encouraged members to engage with and give back to the community in meaningful ways.

Ending my senior year in this role was a great way for me to finish my leadership journey with Vanguard's chapter of SAO. Serving in this position left me so grateful for the growth, relationships, and experiences that shaped my time in Sigma Alpha Omega.
